George and Stavroula Sarantos had a strong commitment to education. Born and raised in Greece, they emigrated to the United States where they dedicated their lives to their children and church. Faith and education were emphasized and became a priority.
All three of the Sarantos children attended college because of the sacrifices George and Stavroula made. As such, this scholarship is an opportunity for the children to honor their parents' memories.
